| MTN, Vodafone & Airtel have 98% data market share in Ghana. |
According to the National Communications Authority's most
recent industry statistics, Ghana's total number of data subscriptions for the
four mobile network providers as of the end of June 2022 was 23,577,601. And for the period, the penetration rate was
74.99%.
The end of June yielded 17,013,730 new mobile data subscribers
for MTN. For the month under review, they held 72.16% of the market.
The same month saw,
3,187,243 customers sign up for Vodafone's mobile data service. Their 13.52% market share reflects this.
AirtelTigo’s mobile data subscriptions for June 2022 was 3,132,519. Their market share for the month was 13.29%.
Glo recorded data subscription figures of 244,109 at the end
of June 2022. This reflects a market share of
1.04%.
