Black Stars players who will miss 2022 World Cup due to injury. |
It has been reported that goalkeepers Jojo Wollacott and Richard
Ofori, as well as midfielder Baba lddrisu, would not be participating in the
tournament because of injuries they sustained in the days leading up to the
commencement of the competition.
Based on a report by Gary Al-Smith, the South African press
claimed that the Orlando Pirates medical staff have sent GK Richard Ofori's MRI
scans done on Sunday morning, to their colleagues in Ghana.
According to the scans, Ofori's knee is still swollen and will not
recover in time before the conclusion of the World Cup.

Joseph Luke Wollacott, Ghana's number one goalkeeper, is said to
have been ruled out after sustaining a new injury on Saturday during a game
against Burton Albion FC in the English League.
In the warm-ups before Charlton's 3-3 league match against
Burton Albion FC, he injured his finger.
In a game between RCD Mallorca and Athletico Madrid
in midweek, Baba lddrisu had an injury and was forced to be replaced.
The player has been reliable for the Black Stars, and they have
often found him playing alongside Thomas Partey.

On Monday, November 14, 2022, it is anticipated that Head Coach Otto Addo would announce the names of Ghana's 26-man roster for the World Cup. Ghana will compete in the tournament against Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea in Group H.
