Military ranks in Ghana are the military insignia used by the Ghana Armed Forces. Ghana shares a rank system with the United Kingdom since it was formerly a British colony.
It is important to have knowledge of the military ranks in Ghana
to educate oneself on the structure and hierarchy of one of a nation’s vital
security force. Military ranks in Ghana consists or are subdivided into two
parts; the Commissioned Officers and Non-Commissioned officers.
The
commissioned officers: They are the administrators, problem solvers, major
decision-makers, and planners who guide enlisted or noncommissioned soldiers in
every circumstance. Leading and instructing the non-commissioned troops is
another duty they have.
Non-Commissioned
Officers (NCO): They are military personnel who receive authority
from a higher ranking officer but who are not officially in charge.
