As the school year gets underway, you may be wondering when the online application process for the Ghana scholarship secretariat will begin.
When Will Ghana Scholarship Secretariat start receiving applications?
- Between the 1st of April and the 15th of May of each academic year, continuing students have the opportunity to submit an application for an online scholarship offered by the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat.
- From the 16th of June to the 31st of July, every academic year, the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, will be accepting new applications.
- Students who were admitted to the school at a later date are eligible to apply for an online scholarship offered by the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat between the 1st to 30th of September of each academic year.

Secretariat Online Application Requirements.
- You should have gained admission into an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana.
- You should have registered and enrolled to undertake a program in the tertiary institution.
- The Institution should be accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB)
- Categories of Local Tertiary Institutions (Private and Public)
- Nurses/Teacher Training Colleges
- Colleges of Agriculture
- Polytechnics
- Technical Universities
- Universities
- Certificate awarding tertiary institutions
Ghana Scholarship
Secretariat Login.
- To Begin the scholarship secretariat online application process, first visit: www.scholarshipgh.com
- Then click on "Sign Up'' in the menu to Create an account on the scholarship portal in order to register.
- Login with the account created and fill the Ghana scholarship secretariat online application form on the portal with the required details.
- Upload your academic qualifications, admission letter(s), academic certificate and all necessary documentation in PDF format.
- After completing the online scholarship application form, you may have to complete an online aptitude test.
- Those who pass the online aptitude test will be scheduled for a selection interview in their district.

Secretariat Scholarship Process.
- After a successful online application online, you will be required to do the following:
- Take an aptitude test online to determine if you qualify for a scholarship or not.
- Attend an interview in your selected district.
- After the interviews, your information will be forwarded to the institution for confirmation and validation.
- Electronic award letters will be then be issued to you by the Scholarships Secretariat.
- The Scholarship Secretariat will finally make Payment of scholarship entitlements to your institutions.

- To Check Application Status first visit: www.scholarshipgh.com
- Then click on "Sign In" in the menu
- Afterwards enter your email address and the password you used during the application process.
- Finally navigate to "Current Scholarship" and click on it to check your application status.
About the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat.
The Ghana Scholarships Secretariat
is in charge of managing all domestic and international scholarship programmes
on behalf of the government. It was established in 1960 as an extra-ministerial
organisation reporting to the Office of the President.
Its main programmes and activities
fall under the thematic area;
Human Resource Development, Employment and Productivity under the Ghana Shared
Growth and Development Agenda (GSGDA) and Goal 4 of the United Nations’
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) specifically addressing;
- Provision of quality education
- Human Capital Development, Productivity and Labour Relations, thus providing for the manpower needs of the country.
