Hearts of Oak, the current holders of the MTN FA
Cup, will meet Bechem United in the championship match of the 2021/22
tournament.
In the semi-final match that took place on Sunday
at the Berekum Golden City park, the Hunters defeated the Aduana Stars by a score of
2-0.
Bechem United will compete in the finals for the
first time since 2016, when they defeated Okwahu United at the Cape Coast
Stadium to claim victory and advance to the championship round.
On Saturday, Accra Hearts of Oak beat Dreams FC by
a score of 3-2 to earn the final spot at the Accra Sports Stadium. Benjamin
York, Suraj Seidu, and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored for Accra Hearts of Oak in
the victory.
The Baba Yara Stadium will play host to the match
that decides the winner of the MTN FA Cup.
