Erik ten Hag has been sacked as manager of Manchester United. This came after a 2-1 loss to West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
In a statement sighted by HR Forum News on United’s
official website on Monday, it mentioned that, the manager had left his role as
manager of the first team.
“Erik ten Hag has left his role as Manchester United
men’s first-team manager.
“Erik was appointed in April 2022 and led the club to
two domestic trophies, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024,” the statement explained.
The club was thankful for
Ten Hag’s contribution to the team over the course of his tenure. The club further informed that, Ruud Van Nistelrooy
will take charge as interim head coach tilll a substantive manager is appointed.
“We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and
wish him well for the future.
“Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of the team as
interim head coach, supported by the current coaching team, whilst a permanent
head coach is recruited,” the statement concluded.
