Each Driver's Licence
This type of licence is specifically issued to individuals who
operate vehicles without a transmission, such as motorcycles. Additionally, it
is granted to dispatch and delivery couriers who utilise motorcycles for their
work. And they are:
Type B – This category includes drivers of minibuses,
long-distance vehicles, trailers, and other commercial vehicles with up to 15
passenger seats.
form C – This form of licence is for drivers of buses and
medium-sized goods-carrying vehicles with a passenger capacity of no more than
45 and a gross vehicle weight of no more than 10,000kg.
This type of licence is granted to individuals operating buses,
coaches and heavy goods vehicles with a seating capacity of up to 65 passengers
and a maximum load of 350,000 kilogrammes. And they are:
This licence pertains to individuals who operate graders,
tractors, loaders, rollers, forklifts, and other types of industrial machinery.
They are:
Type F – This licence is for pilots of all vehicles weighing more
than 35,000 kilograms, including articulating and rigid vehicles.
How Can a
Non-Ghanaian Apply for a Driver's Licence in Ghana?
Foreign nationals are able to apply for a driver's licence in
Ghana. To get a Ghanaian driving licence, they must, however, fulfil all
requirements and have a valid driver's licence from their home country.
In conclusion, to drive a certain kind of car in Ghana, you need
to have the right kind of driver's licence. It is against the law to use a
licence that is not appropriate for the kind of vehicle you are driving. As
