Note: It's not free, but it's cheap because it won't be available
online but via SMS.
The offline jamb score checker is what I call it.
So, how will you carry it out?
- Send RESULT to 55019 (Jamb Number) as a message using the number or SIM that you used during the jamb registration.
- Make sure that the RESULT is in capital/ uppercase letters.
- Fifty naira will be deducted from your SIM.
- You will receive a response shortly containing your jamb results score with the scores you had in each subject you sat for.
- Congratulations, you have successfully checked your jamb result through message or SMS easily.
- Using this method does not restrict you from using the other methods in this post.
Use the same phone number that you used to register for JAMB, to
send this message.
All the more, you ought to have adequate airtime on your phone
before you can perform the operation. Only 50 Nigerian Naira should be the
minimum credit balance.
JAMB will process your request and provide you with your result
immediately.
The responses
that are to be expected, are as follows:
Are you using a phone number that does not correspond to your jamb
profile? If your phone number was not used to complete the registration
process, the following response will be provided: “This phone number was not used
for registration.”
You should get the message below if your jamb result is ready: “Dear
Mr/Miss Xyz, your jamb result is as follows… (Additionally, the SMS
will contain additional information, including your jamb score).
If a candidate's jamb result is withheld, they will receive an SMS
similar to this, “Result Withheld” text message from jamb.
If a candidate's result is still under investigation and unclear,
jamb will send the candidate the following SMS, “Result withheld pending the
upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
Believe me when I say that there were candidates who missed the
exams for particular reasons. This text message will be sent to absent
candidates, “CANDIDATE ABSENT”
Some candidates will receive this text message, “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall.” This indicates that they have not been properly cleared before entering the exam room or hall.
