ECG: Vending Challenge with prepayment system resolved.

The Electricity Company of Ghana has said that, the vending challenge with prepayment system has been resolved.

This means that, one can purchase electricity credits from their nearest vending points and all ECG district offices across the country. It said this via a statement issued on October 1st, 2022, sighted by GhanaNews.hrforum.uk.

The Electricity Company of Ghana wishes to inform all stakeholders, especially our cherished customers on our prepayment metering system that the issue with the 3rd Party Vending Points has been resolved.

Customers can now purchase electricity credits from their nearest vending points, and all ECG District offices, including tomorrow Sunday, 2nd October, 2022 from 9.00am - 4.00pm.

The company further assured its cherished customers of its efforts to restore the Power Application on Google play store for a more efficient and improved service delivery.

ECG once again assures our cherished customers that we are working assiduously to restore the Power App for an improved and seamless service provision.

On Wednesday, 28th September, 2022, the Electricity Company of Ghana informed its customers of a technical challenge which affected their prepaid metering system, thereby interrupting the purchase of electricity credits.

“The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited wishes to inform our cherished customers that due to a technical challenge which has affected our prepaid metering systems, purchase of electricity credit has been interrupted.

“Some customers in the following areas have been affected; Volta, Kumasi, Accra, Takoradi, Tema, Cape Coast, Kasoa, Winneba, Swedru, Koforidua, Nkawkaw, and Tafo.

“Affected customers should please note that our ICT team is working assiduously to correct the anomaly and restore the system to normalcy. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this technical challenge.” the statement added.
