Ghana's President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is resolute in
his intention to construct a National Cathedral in Ghana.
“We will surely build the [National] Cathedral,” President
Akufo-Addo stressed.
He claims he will devote his life to seeing that God is
honoured via the construction of the cathedral.
The President issued this promise on Sunday at the Pentecost
International Worship Centre (PIWC), Graceland Teshie Nungua in Accra, where he
attended a memorial ceremony for Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong's late father.
The President expressed his condolences to Dr. Agyepong and
his family and urged him to find solace in the knowledge that his late father
had a purpose in bringing him into the world, to improve people's lives.
“In fact, the name Dr. Agyepong has been lost on Ghanaians.
Now Zoomlion has become his [Dr. Agyepong’s] household name, all thanks to his
entrepreneurial skills and his passion to help transform lives in the country,”
he praised Dr. Siaw Agyepong.
President Akufo-Addo has said that his
administration would continue to support Dr. Siaw Agyepong, the
Jospong Group of Companies, and anybody else willing to contribute to Ghana's
growth.
“My administration will continue to create the enabling
environment for private businesses to thrive so they can support the government
in its development agenda,” he reinforced.
The President has said that his administration would continue
to back Dr. Siaw Agyepong because of his many contributions to the nation.
“Though the economic hardships are having a toll on Ghanaians,
I am very optimistic that things will get better, adding that “these challenges
too will pass.”
He urged Ghanaians to maintain
the unity for the sake of perpetual
progress and tranquillity.
